On October 22nd, Lynn University in Boca Raton Florida, will host the third (and final) 2012 Presidential debate between President Barak Obama and challenger Mitt Romney.

Aura Jets, part of the Galaxy Aviation network, is proud to announce the addition of its second jet charter brokerage sales office located onsite at the Galaxy Aviation FBO at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine, Florida. With locations currently in Boca Raton and Northeast Florida, Aura Jets expands their FBO-based charter brokerage operations to fill a void in the Jacksonville area. As the home to three Fortune 500 companies and 80 other corporate, regional and divisional headquarters, the demand is increasing in northeast Florida for use of private aviation with the highest standards of safety, customer service, privacy and affordable luxury.

Having a physical presence at the facility provides customers with face to face access to a representative assigned to their needs in an effort to match the customer with the most economical, safe and efficient travel experience available. This new multi-hangar complex has it all! Galaxy Aviation of St. Augustine is offering a rare opportunity to lease your own private facility at the rapidly growing Northeast Florida Regional Airport (KSGJ). Jan 2010 - Certified Tow Operator Program

Galaxy Aviation has taken their commitment to line service safety training to the next level with the creation of their unique Certified Tow Operator Safety Training Program, and the Galaxy Aviation 5 Star Safety Program
In order to become a Galaxy Aviation Certified Tow Operator, technicians must first complete the extensive Galaxy 5 Star training required of all Galaxy Aviation line service employees. Certified Tow Operator candidates are then nominated by management to undergo further instruction in towing, including additional classroom training and the requirement to retake the Galaxy 5 Star written test on towing. Only Certified Tow Operators who have met Galaxy Aviation's exacting standards are authorized to tow aircraft at the company's bases.
In addition to establishing their own Certified Tow Operator program, Galaxy Aviation has created a new internal safety education and training program; Galaxy Aviation 5 Star Safety Training. According to Ken Bray, Galaxy Aviation's Safety/Training Manager, the company's development of the program is part of an ongoing commitment to provide all employees with the most relevant, up-to-date training available.
As a supplement to new employee orientation, all Galaxy Aviation line service employees are required to complete the ten modules of the 5 Star programs, including required written exams. Each practical exam requires line service to perform skills-including ground servicing, ramp safety, refueling piston aircraft, refueling turboprop aircraft, refueling jet aircraft, fuel farm management, towing, customer service and fire safety-with 100 percent accuracy in order to pass.
"One of Galaxy Aviation's goals is always to provide professional and safety-conscious support to our customers," Bray said. "We chose to create a new in-house safety training curriculum that exceeds industry standards.”

Sept. 2008 - Steamboat-Hayden, CO

Steamboat-Hayden, CO - Galaxy Aviation announces the acquisition of the FBO service provider at Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN) in Hayden, CO. Yampa Valley Regional Airport, with its 10,000 foot runway, is the only field serving Steamboat Springs that is capable of accommodating the largest GA aircraft. Galaxy was able to simultaneously negotiate a purchase agreement with the Seller, Spectrum Jet Center, and a new long term lease agreement with Routt County and close the transaction all within 90 days. According to Martin F. Greenberg, Chairman of Galaxy Aviation, “Like many sellers, Spectrum wanted a straight-forward, all-cash deal and a quick closing. Unlike many of the other interested buyers in the marketplace today, we are able to meet those seller objectives because we are cash buyers and our “investment committee” is made up of one decision maker – and that’s me.” The new FBO at Steamboat Hayden marks the sixth location on the map for Galaxy Aviation, making it one of the largest privately owned FBO chains in the Country. “Steamboat-Hayden is a perfect compliment to our portfolio of luxury resort locations. The area is experiencing tremendous growth with the recent purchase and re-development of the Steamboat Ski Resort by Intrawest. We expect this growth will be in high-end properties as the Aspen and Vail areas to our south become over crowded and lose their charm as a result.” says Greenberg.
